Needles and pins
A needle is a type of tool used for attaching together (sewn) garments or other articles of fabric or leather.
Needles are also used to decorate something, this is called embroidery.
In a knitting needle is used to mesh. A needle is usually made of
steel. One side is sharp so that through the cloth can be pierced. On
the other hand, is an eye, where a wire can be pulled through. The eye
is elongated in shape and slightly larger than the thickness of the wire
used. In a so-called blind needle, the thread from above by a slit in
the eye crossed, instead of having to pull through it. The length of
needles varies, depending on the application, about 2 cm to 10 cm. The
thickness varies, but a needle is rarely thicker than 2 millimeters.
